Neuheit 2022: Mit der PIKO BR 83.10 der DR gibt es nun ein betriebstaugliches Großserienmodell dieser außergewöhnlichen Loktype. Der Besonderheit des Vorbildes entsprechend darf sich das feinst detaillierte PIKO Modell ebenfalls als herausragende Lokomotive präsentieren. Die markante Lokomotive in zweidomiger Ausführung überzeugt durch die hervorragend gelungene Umsetzung der Vorbildproportionen und wartet mit einer Vielzahl an extra angesetzten Teilen auf, u.a. viele feine Leitungen, Windleitbleche, Glocke, Pfeife, Deckel auf den Wasserkästen, Lichtmaschine, Auftritte zur Pufferbohle, Leitern, Handstangen, Heizleitungen und Sandrohre. Die feinen Speichenräder, die filigrane Steuerung sowie die detailverliebte Führerstandsinneneinrichtung lassen die Lok zusätzlich zu einem Blickfang auf der Anlage werden. Auch technisch präsentiert sich die PIKO BR 83.10 auf der Höhe der Zeit und verfügt über Führerhausbeleuchtung, Fahrwerkbeleuchtung, LED-Spitzensignal und die Möglichkeit, die Lok mit einem Rauchsatz auszurüsten. Der starke Motor sorgt in Kombination mit 2 verbauten Haftreifen für ausreichende Zugkräfte für alle vorbildgerechten Zugzusammenstellungen. Der Einbau eines Digitaldecoders sowie die Nachrüstung mit Sound ist problemlos möglich. Bremsschläuche, Zughaken und lange Schutzrohre liegen dem Modell bei. Die Lokomotive erscheint im Auslieferungszustand von 1955. Markante Merkmale sind hierbei der Lokkessel mit zwei Domen und Sandkästen am Lokumlauf. Die Baureihe 83.10 ist noch eine Heißdampfmaschine, welche sich durch einen langen Reglerzug an der Kesselseite und einen kleinen Dampfsammelbehälter auf dem Kesselscheitel auszeichnet.

Novelty 2022: With the PIKO class 83.10 of the DR, there is now a large-scale production model of this unusual type of locomotive that is suitable for operation. In keeping with the special nature of the prototype, the finely detailed PIKO model may also present itself as an outstanding locomotive. The distinctive locomotive in two-dome design convinces by the outstandingly successful realization of the prototype proportions and comes up with a multitude of extra parts, including many fine lines, wind deflectors, bell, whistle, covers on the water boxes, generator, steps to the buffer beam, ladders, hand rods, heating lines and sand pipes. The fine spoked wheels, the filigree control system as well as the detailed cab interior additionally make the locomotive an eye-catcher on the layout. The PIKO BR 83.10 is also technically up to date and features cab lighting, running gear lighting, LED tip signal and the option to equip the locomotive with a smoke set. The powerful motor in combination with 2 built-in traction tires provides sufficient tractive effort for all prototypical train compositions. The installation of a digital decoder as well as the retrofitting with sound is possible without any problems. Brake hoses, train hooks and long protective tubes are included with the model.
