Das Dach des Führerhauses ist abgerundet und durch die darunterliegenden Fenster fällt der Blick auf die detailliert ausgearbeitete Inneneinrichtung. Zahlreiche freistehende Bauteile, wie eine Pfeife auf dem Dach, die Glocke auf dem Kessel sowie originalgetreue Lampen und Leitungen zeugen von Modellbau auf höchstem Niveau. Gleiches gilt für den Fahrwerkbereich mit feinen Zinkdruckguss-Rädern und dem filigranen Bremsgestänge. Der werkseitig integrierte PIKO PSD XP Sound-Decoder ermöglicht die Schaltung von Beleuchtungen im Führerstand und Fahrwerksbereich. Zudem simuliert eine ebenfalls digital geschaltete, flackernde LED im Bereich der Feuerbüchse die rot glimmenden Kohlen. Alle Beleuchtungen, inklusive des in Fahrtrichtung wechselnden Lichtwechsels sind in moderner, wartungsfreier LED-Technik ausgeführt.
