Steppenpferd, Bubikopf, Krokodil oder Bügelfalte: Zahlreiche Loks erhielten von den Eisenbahnern einen Spitznamen. Das gilt auch für die elektrischen Rangierloks der Baureihe E 60 (später 160). 14 Exemplare kamen zwischen 1928 und 1934 auf deutsche Gleise. Sie waren bärenstark (1460 PS) und boten eine außergewöhnliche Optik: Über dem dreiachsigen Stangentriebwerk thronte ein langer wuchtiger hinterer und ein kurzer vorderer Vorbau und das Führerhaus mit dem Stromabnehmer. Dieses urige Aussehen ließ schnell den Spitznamen „Bügeleisen“ entstehen. Zuverlässig sorgten die Maschinen jahrzehntelang für Ordnung auf größeren süddeutschen Bahnhöfen, das letzte Exemplar wurde erst 1983 abgestellt.
